what is the OhMiBod Esca 2?
The sex toy company. OhMyBod was one of the pioneers of remotely controllable toys and they are still fantastic to this day. The one I’m reviewing today is the ESCA 2has G spot Vibrator designed to be “worn” vaginally. Through the OhMiBod appThis toy can be controlled locally or remotely, making it ideal for public play scenes or long distance sex.
Tea ESCA 2 It is made of silicone and ABS plastic, has a total length of 7.3″ and a maximum diameter of 1.3″ and a Bluetooth range of 26 feet.
Things I like about OhMiBod Esca 2:
- Strong and rumbling vibration: The motor of a vibrator is its most important qualityso I’m delighted that OhMiBod clearly put in the effort to make this one great! The Esca’s engine rumble ensures that I never feel numb to its vibrations, even after a longer session, and there’s a wide range of vibration intensities available, from low to high.
- Amazing App and Connectivity: The Esca 2’s remote control capability is its main draw, and consequently the OhMiBod app, available for iOS and Android, is excellent. It offers several different ways to control the toy’s vibrations: you can sync it to music or sound (more on that in a moment), tap or swipe to create your own patterns, and try out pre-programmed patterns. I also found that the Esca paired with my phone instantly when I turned it on and stayed connected the entire time I used it, with no troubleshooting required.
- Sound response mode: I had a lot of fun playing with the app mode that makes vibrations respond to music or other sounds. Some other companies have created versions of this feature that I’ve found finicky and inconsistent, but OhMiBod offers the cool innovation of allowing you to adjust both the intensity of the vibrations and the sensitivity of the audio detection, so whether you want your vibration to respond to your partner’s voice murmuring to you in bed, or a DJ’s biggest set at a music festival (or anything in between), you can set this vibration to make this happen. In fact, I found that music mode is the best way for the Esca to achieve a continuous rhythmic vibration, since it doesn’t offer that on its own (more on this later).
- Easy to use surreptitiously in public: Perhaps more than any other “portable” vibrator I’ve tried, the Esca 2 can be easily used in public without having to constantly readjust it, reconnect it, etc. For one thing, the toy can stay in standby mode for a long time, so if you pause your public scene for a moment (like the waiter returning with your drinks), you won’t need to run to the bathroom to turn the vibration back on. The intensity of the vibration can be changed using your phone’s physical volume buttons, rather than just through the app, so once the toy is paired and turned on, you don’t even need to unlock your phone to control it from then on – you can even control it while your phone is still in your pocket! The environment is also quite quiet in use and its LED light can be deactivated by pressing the button twice once it is on. All this adds up to being a excellent Option for discreet public play.
- Stays well in place: I never experienced any slippage while testing the Esca, which sets it apart from many other wearables. I even once went for a 45 minute walk with the Esca inside me, after I was already having an orgasm, to test whether the combination of wetness, gravity, and movement would cause an embarrassing incident in public… and I never felt it slip at all. Congratulations to these toy designers!
- Long lasting battery: With the Esca 2, you’ll get about 3 hours of use from a 90-minute charge, which is great.

Things that I of which as about him OhMiBod Esca 2:
- The patterns are not consistent enough: My number one complaint about this toy is that its own built-in patterns are somewhat erratic, like a clumsy lover: they often change things instead of staying on track. Even when I was trying to create my own patterns for consistency, there was (at the very least) a brief pause between loops. The only way I found to keep the vibrations rhythmically consistent for more than 10 seconds at a time was to sync the toy to the music, as described above.
- Without clitoral stimulation: Not that I’d expect it from a G-spot focused toy, but the Esca doesn’t really reach anywhere close to my clitoris. Even when I put his outer arm there, almost no vibration passes through it. So if you or your partner require clitoral stimulation To get yourself aroused (as most people with vulvas do), you may want to pair the Esca 2 with a wearable, clitoral-focused vibrator like the Lovense Ferri. Personally, I don’t mind being teased a little during play in public, as I would find it very difficult to orgasm in that environment anyway, but your mileage may vary.
- Not waterproof: You should be careful when washing the Esca 2 and avoid using it in the shower/bathtub/jacuzzi/etc., because it is not waterproof.
- Not compatible with anal: It probably goes without saying, but in case you’re considering it, the Esca 2 is not safe for the anus. Something like the Lovense Border It would be a better bet for that use.

Final thoughts
Thanks to today’s sponsor, Evolution zonefor sending me the OhMiBod Esca 2 to try! I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected, because most wearable devices’ vibrations are weak, buzzy, and unreliable, while the Esca 2 has none of those problems: its vibrations are wonderfully strong and rumbling, its app is surprisingly well built, and its Bluetooth connectivity worked great throughout my testing sessions.
I wish this toy had some consistent vibration patterns; the lack of them is really its only major drawback. But if you’re just looking for a reliable vibe for public teasing and teasing, or a G-spot vibe for long distance play, I think the ESCA 2 It will serve you well.
