what is the magic stick?
I have reviewed More than two dozen dual-stimulation vibrators – that is, vibrators that stimulate my clitoris and internally, at the same time, and there is a problem that affects almost all of them: they are trying to be one-size-fits-all, when that simply is not possible. There is too much variation in the distance between the clitoris and the vaginal opening, not to mention a wide range of other preferences in terms of stimulation type, thrusting ability, and ergonomics. Dual stimulation vibrations try to do it all and, as a result, sometimes end up being good for nothing.
Enter the magic stickwhich was specifically designed to address this problem. It is a modular system consisting of a basic vibrating shaft, for vaginal penetration, and 4 different clitoral accessories that can be exchanged at will. The accessories work using wireless induction: when you place them within the induction zone clearly marked on the shaft, they receive power from the base unit.
Crucially, the induction zone is a generous 3.5 inches long and you can place the attachments anywhere along that stretch, allowing you to adjust how deep the toy can be pushed and also making it more likely that this toy will fit your anatomy regardless of your clitoris-to-vagina measurement. How ingenious! I quickly said yes when they offered me the magic stick to review, because I had never seen a toy that worked like this before.

Things I like about magic stick:
- Innovative design: As I said above, I think the core concept of this toy is brilliant. Fortunately, it’s not just clever in theory: it’s (mostly) well executed! I love that accessories can be changed so easily and quickly, especially in the heat of the moment; Simply slide one out and slide the next. I also love that the design allows for adjustable insertion depth, because different people’s preferences differ greatly on this, and even I, a devoted enjoyer of deep penetration – Sometimes I prefer to stay more superficial when I am still in the process of becoming aroused or when my cervix is temperamental due to impending menstruation.
- Multiple attachments: It’s unusual for a toy to come with so many accessories! It makes this environment much more versatile and customizable. I will talk about each of them in turn, using the names the instruction manual calls them:
- Vibrating thumb: In fact, this one is shaped like a particularly thick thumb. The rounded shape and soft silicone feel good on my clitoris and I like that this accessory applies some Clitoral pressure but not a tone. However, its vibrations are quite buzzy (more on this later).
- Vibrant rabbit ears: not leave you standard rabbit environment ears, these are thicker and, therefore, less agitated. They are a good shape for people who enjoy pressure on the sides of their clitoris; I definitely fall into that category! However, the vibrations in these are even stronger than those of the thumb. Therefore, my clitoris feels dull and uninterested within seconds of being trapped between these rabbit ears. Journal.
- Kneading massage: I definitely found this to be the best of all the accessories, especially when well lubricated. It’s a textured silicone wheel that rotates against your clitoris and feels like a gentle but sexy massage. Tragically, however, it slows down when moderate to intense pressure is applied and also detaches from my clit every time unless I physically hold it in place.
- Rotating tongues: “Oh, it’s like a Sqweel”my boyfriend said when he saw this attachment, and he’s right: it’s almost identical to the Sqweel Gowhich was a mechanical wheel of silicone tongues that fluttered against your clitoris as if licked. This can be great as a gentle tease when the toy is well lubricated, but once I start to get excited at all and consequently, by applying more pressure, the tongues slow down and eventually stop completely. Womp-womp.
- Strong, rumbling shaft vibrations: The shaft/base unit of the Magic Stick produces impressively deep and powerful vibrations, which stimulate my vaginal walls in a pleasurable way and generally increase the pleasure of whatever is happening on the clitoris.
- Irregular A-curve: I was excited as soon as I saw the shape of this shaft, because it has all the qualities that I usually recommend for a point A toy: It is long enough (up to 6″ can be inserted) and is mostly straight but with a slight upward curve near the tip. I even enjoyed using the base unit as a standalone A-spot vibrator (always combined with a clitoral vibration) because it actually feels great in that area when I’m warmed up enough.
- Price: Given the technologically advanced design of this toy and the large number of accessories it includes, I’m surprised it sells for only $79; I’d expect a game like this to cost at least $150 nowadays! You can actually get it for an even lower price of $63.20 if you use my coupon code, GIRL’S JUICEwith a 20% discount at checkout.
- Storage bag: When a toy has so many moving parts (literally), I always appreciate the inclusion of a storage bag so you can store them all together, whether while traveling or just putting them in the toy drawer.

Things that I of which as about him magic stick:
- Buzzing external vibrations: While the shaft vibrations are wonderfully boomy, the two vibrating attachments are substantially buzzier, i.e. higher pitched, and therefore less stimulating and more likely to cause temporary desensitization. Like most people with vaginas, clitoral stimulation is a requirement for achieving orgasm, and it’s a hell of a lot harder to get there when my primary sexual pleasure organ is half-numb. These external vibrations are further drowned out by the noise of the internal vibrations, to the point that I can barely feel them after a minute or two. Dear Toy Designers: If the clitoral portion of your dual-stimulation vibrator fails, it’s time to go back to the drawing board, because that’s the most important part of the toy for most users!
- Issues with motion-based attachments: The “kneading massage” and “twirling tongues” attachments stimulate the clitoris through movement rather than vibration, and while I certainly found both more pleasurable than the clitoral vibrations of the other two attachments, I had issues with both, as I mentioned above. The attachment of the language, like its apparent inspiration, the SqweelIt slows down dramatically when applying any pressure – a big disappointment for those of us who appreciate a firm, decisive lick! The kneading attachment felt great when I put it in the right place, but unfortunately that required physically keeping it in place the entire time I used the toy, because otherwise it would detach from my clitoris and fall onto my outer labia, rendering it useless.
- Only 3 constant speeds: The base unit and accessories each have 3 intensity levels (and the base unit also has 7 vibration patterns). That’s simply not enough. I don’t know about you, but my own arousal cycle tends to require more gradation than that and fewer jarring moments where I’m surprised by big jumps in intensity.
- Without G-spot stimulation: I’m sure there are mechanical reasons why the shaft of this toy needs to be so straight, but an unfortunate side effect is that my G-spot barely notices it. Even when I adjust the insertion length to be super short so the tip of the toy ends up in that area, it just doesn’t curve up enough to hit the target.
- Awkward button placement: Since this toy is expressly designed to be pushed by hand, it’s strange that the buttons were placed at the end of the shaft, exactly where your fingertips would tend to be when pushing. I would prefer them to be a little further away but still within reach, like on the shaft, so that the thrust doesn’t sometimes cause inadvertent button presses.
- Non-submersible: The Magic Stick is only IPX6 waterproof, so you can use it in the shower or wash it in the sink, but you should not use it in the bathtub or similar.

Final thoughts
I truly believe that sex toy technology has advanced with the magic stick. Being able to exchange attachments with this ease and simply have them workIt actually feels magical! The Magic Stick’s wireless induction and extreme adjustability also make it suitable for a wider range of bodies than your standard dual-stimulation vibrator; I love that the beautiful diversity of sexual anatomy is reflected in this design.
That said, as is often the case with dual stimulation toys, the clitoral vibration on this one feels like an afterthought, despite being (for me and many others) tea most important quality of the rabbit environment. It’s frustrating that my vagina can enjoy such strong, rumbling vibrations, while my clitoris is left out in the cold (by which I mean, subject to annoying, rumbling vibrations that gradually make it feel numb)! It’s a good thing this toy is designed to be pushable, because you would need to push to get it out. magic stick. Its clitoral stimulation just doesn’t do it for me, so I would have to provide some movement against my clit by pushing the toy in and out.
That said, you might enjoy magic stick if you as buzzing vibrations, or if you’re more turned on by vaginal stimulation than clitoral stimulation, or if you prioritize a better fit over a better motor. I’m so glad this toy was made and I hope to see more like it in the future!
